Terms of Use
Last updated 21 August 2026
These terms govern use of DIYai.app. By using the site you agree to them. Operator: DIY AI, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as DIYai.app. Contact: support@diyai.app.
The service
DIYai.app helps UK homeowners plan DIY work with structured steps, safety checklists, Home DNA, and optional AI coaching. Content is general information, not a substitute for a qualified trade, surveyor, architect, or other professional.
Safety
Some tasks are high risk. Electrical, gas, and structural work in the UK is often restricted by law and may require a competent registered person. Where we show a safety gate, you must read and acknowledge it before instructions unlock. You remain responsible for:
- checking whether the work is lawful and whether you are competent to do it
- using suitable PPE, tools, and materials
- stopping and hiring a qualified trade when you are unsure
- complying with Building Regulations, manufacturer instructions, and local rules
We are not liable for injury, property damage, or failed inspections arising from work you carry out, except where the law does not allow us to limit that liability.
AI output
Coach replies, plans, and design concepts are generated with AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Always check measurements, product compatibility, and safety-critical steps yourself.
Accounts, data, and billing
You may use limited features as a guest (data stored on this device) or sign in with email and password, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, or Apple. Signed-in projects, passport items, preferences, and related content sync to your DIYai.app account so you can use them on other devices. Keep your password and linked sign-in accounts secure. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider, not in this browser.
Paid plans (Pro and Ultra) and a one-time ad-removal purchase are billed in pounds sterling through Stripe Checkout. Stripe emails an invoice after each successful payment. You can update payment methods, download invoices, or cancel at period end from Manage billing. Consumer Rights Act 2015 rights apply to paid services.
Free / guest sessions may show Google banner ads when ads are enabled. Paid plans include ad-free access as described in the product.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- misuse the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or overload it
- upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content
- pretend to be us or another person
- use the service to provide professional advice to others as if it were ours
Intellectual property
The DIYai.app name, branding, and software are ours. You keep ownership of photos and project details you add. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you.
Affiliate links
Some shopping links may earn us a commission. See the Affiliate disclosure.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live in the UK.
